Several days after meeting the Grahamn Falko, Abiyia, Lessa, Lasarra, and Sagdalon after the evening meal I speak up. "You have been so kind to me. I know you are curious about me, where I come from my beliefs. I don't remember a lot but I will tell you all I can remember, Up until the time I landed on the Isle of Refuge." I will say and take a sip of my ale. Taking a deep breath , I start
"I've been trying to remember my parents. It is so hard. I miss them so much.
My father was very tall and dark. He was a fighter of some type. His armor was always shiny and clean, a gleaming white silver metal. His cap was black trimmed in blue and when he wore it over his armor he presented a dashing dangerous figure. My dad was stern at times especially when teaching me of his god, Mithaniel Marr and the honor I should show the god. The honor and valor that I have today comes from the teachings of my father. My father also told me tales of great deeds done by simple mortal men. He told me of his king, a great man who ruled wisely and cared for his people. Dad was home when the cataclysm came. As I think of that time I am really surprised.
I have more memories of mom. She was a very strong and devote woman, very fair skinned with flaming hair, like mine. She loved my dad deeply. She told me at one time she had plans to be a priestess of Erollisi Marr but fell in love with my dad and chose to marry him. She would worship her god almost every day. She taught me to follow the path laid out before me as it would be the one to bring the most joy and happiness. As a young child my mom often took me out to the fields teaching me how to identify the various plants and what they could be used for. I listened dutifully to her but my heart was not into gathering and learning of plants. Any time we were near the young men who were learning to be fighters I watched them intently. One of the boys, Theo, was especially kind to me and even offered to teach me how to handle a sword. I was very young and he almost an adult I thought. Only later I found out from my father he was only 5 years older than I was. I had the biggest crush on him. I wonder sometimes if he might still be alive and if so would I recognize him? Would he recognize me?
I remember mom tying me on a log with counter weights just before being swept off from mom and dad by the water. For days I floated until the log started to sink. I would have died if I hadn't gotten loose. I know there are a lot of people who believe the gods have left but not me. The gods saved my life! They gave me the will to struggle off the log before I ended up drowned.
I don't remember much for days after that. I think I got ill from all the water I swallowed. I remember dreaming I was in my parent’s arms, being cleaned up and offered broth to eat but when I woke up from my fevered sleep I was on a boat. As soon as I was awake and I realized I had been rescued, I prayed my thanks to my god. I vowed there and then to be always faithful to Mithaniel Marr, the Truthbringer. I know I would not have survived without his aide.
After praying, I decide to take a look around. I could tell that I was on a ship as soon as I came from below deck. The captain was glad I was awake and better. He told me that I would be dropped off on the island of refuge. I hoped I would find my parents there but alas I have not found them.
While on the boat I tried to make myself useful, paying back the captain and his men in simple ways. If they had a problem I would try to take care of it. I remember my father saying to me as a child. "If you say you are going to do something you do it. Never give up on your word." I have made that my motto."
After finishing the tale I take a deep breath and then another sip of ale. "What else would you like me to tell you about myself?" I will ask
Months later… after she had joined DSL and been made one of the patrons of the house…
Lately Theira had been having nightmares. She kept seeing her parents’ scared faces as the water came. She heard her mother tell her father “she will die if we tie her on the wood.” And her father telling her mother, she will drown if we don’t. I’ve put something under the wood to keep it afloat with her. Theira was crying “please don’t tie me down mama, papa. I’ll be good I promise.” After she was tied down both her parents kissed her, prayed to the gods to save her and pushed her off. The last thing she saw of her parents were the two of them hugging each other as they watched her move further and further away. Theira never saw the water overtake the land, and now she couldn’t help wonder if it had overtaken the land. Could her parents have sent her off and still be alive at home?
Slowly but surely Theira began to remember more of her time on the log. She remembered floating past fish so hungry that she reached out and caught one. It put fins into here hands and that hurt so much but she was hungry. She remembered biting the fish feeling it wriggle in her hands as she did. She remembered the blood…. Oh jheeze the blood. Her hands were swollen and bleeding from the stabs of the fins. The pain relieved only by putting them in the water. She remembered fever and a state somewhere between awake and asleep.
That night when she went to sleep in the guild hall after all the previous nightmares she had the worse one of all. She screamed out mightily waking the entire guild. When several members of the guild burst into her room her face was white. She quickly told them everything was fine that she had just had a nightmare is all. She apologized for waking them up.
After things settled down she thought about the nightmare….In it her mom and dad were fighting. Mom didn’t want to do something but her father said they must. As she thought about it she realized they were talking about her. The priest had told her father that she was destined for greatness only she would never fulfill her potential if she stayed at home. With this realization came the realization there was no storm coming the day they put her on the log. All of that had been a memory she made up so that she would not feel that her parents didn’t want her.
Anger surged through her for a moment and then she realized….she was doing great things. She was spreading the word of Mithaniel Marr…..She had already spread the word to many people. Acceptance would be hard but would come eventually she hoped. Maybe she should talk to Lesarra or Grahamn…but no not right now. Right now she had to try and remember everything that happened after her parents had pushed her away on that log.

Over the next few days Theira was very quiet around the guild which was definitely not like her. When a mission came up she volunteered for it knowing she would be alone for a good part of the mission. She prepared her mount and packed up food the morning of the mission. She then looked at Grahamn and Lesarra and said softly to them. “I will not fail you in this mission.” She then turned and left.

Chapter two The meeting of the Love of Her Life (need to write it up)
Chapter 3 Moving in with Ginji and his family: Recounting her story as she now remembers it.
After a huge dinner provided by Melima, and Dranthor, Theira was looking around at her new found family. She was glad Onis, Obail, and Dranthor had moved with her to this family. It had been a hard choice to leave Silent Night but the love of her life Ginji called this family home and increasingly it was getting more and more difficult to be separated from him. When she had talked to Onis about it his reaction had been quick and sure. Then WE will join his family. He had emphasized the word we letting Theira know that she was not going to be leaving him behind like she had feared. He had told her that he would always be there for her. She felt bad that she had not been able to find him a fine woman but had vowed she would continue to look. Looking around at Catfu, Rerr, Khar, Kea, Greadius, Haerri, Liri, Rraiin, Onis, Obail, Melima, Dranthor, Irem, Ginji, and Pyxie she smiled and then coughed to get everyone’s attention
“Kitty Khar has asked me to tell you about my many adventures before I came here. I guess the first thing I should tell you would be about how I came to the Queen’s Lands.
There are still things I don’t totally remember but each day it seems like I remember a little more. I’ve shared some of this with Onis, Obail and Dranthor. A little more I’ve shared with Ginji. Now I want to share with all of you what I remember.” Takes sip of tea.
“The village we lived in was different from many of the villages I have heard about where other humans lived. We did not have anyone who was not human living there. I never saw another race until after I had been sent from my village. The village was run by the seer who happened to be an aunt of my mother. She was responsible for arranging marriages for the daughters and sons. Most marriages were arranged by the age of 8. The marriages typically took place by the age of 13 seasons. Only my aunt wasn’t married and one day another would take her place but that person had not been born yet.”
“My father was very tall and dark; He was a fighter of some type. His armor was always shiny and clean, a gleaming suit silver metal. One time when we were out foraging in the nearby fields, she told me at one time she had planned to be a priestess of Erollisi Marr but fell in love with my dad and married him instead. My Aunt Elgina, the seer ended up being the priestess, but my mom worshiped her god everyday. She taught me to follow the path laid out before me as it would be the one to bring the most joy and happiness. As a young child my mom often took me to the fields teaching me how to identify the various plants and what they could be used for. I was very young and he was almost an adult I thought. Only later dif I find out from my father he was only 5 years older than I was. I had a huge crush on him.
Life was very good in my village. I was days away from turning 8, and I couldn’t wait to see who I would be marrying. Dad was home and I figured it was because of the selection ceremony that would happen on my 8th birthday. I went to bed as I was told that night. I fell asleep but woke to hear arguing between my parents and my aunt.”
Stops and takes a deep breath trying to steady voice.
“Aunt Elgina was stating to my parents that I had to go, before the ceremony. ‘She has the mark’ she added. My mother started crying saying ‘she is too young’. I couldn’t hear much from my father at that time. After a little when mom had stopped crying I heard my father say, ‘adjust the weather and I will see my little girl is sent from this island. May the gods watch over her.’ And then mom started crying again.”
“Within a short while after that a storm came into the village. It was a horrible storm. Mom came up and woke me. It was still very dark outside. She bundled me up and took me downstairs. She and father quickly took me down to the docks and by the time we got there I was soaked totally. When we got there dad grabbed a big log and mom tied me on to the log with counter weights so I wouldn’t fall off. Within moments of them tying me to the log, it was swept out to see. I thought that my parents would come after me that perhaps the island was in danger.”
“For days I floated tied to the log and unable to get loose. I was hungry and thirsty. I remember reaching out and grabbing a fish, its fins digging into my hands. I was so hungry I didn’t care I bit into it and ate it raw. Because I was thirsty I drank the salty water on which I floated. My hands were raw and bleeding after that. I still have the scars from that time. My hands swelled up and hurt terribly. The only time they didn’t hurt was when I placed them in the cold water. I don’t remember much for days after that. I know I dreamed of being in my parents arms again. When I next woke up I was on a boat. I was sick and fevered. The captain had people care for me until I was well.
Several weeks I stayed in the sick bed until I was strong enough to be released from sick care.
“The captain said he would drop me off on the island of refuge when we got there but it would be several weeks before we landed. I tried to be useful on the ship learning anything that the crew was willing to teach me. Because I knew hot to use a sword the crew asked me to kill the vermin on the boat. I did every task they gave me. When the day came that land was seen the captain call me to see him. He told me the ship would be landing and that I should get off and get additional training on the island. He told me about Norrath and the Queen Antonia Bayle. He explained how she would welcome me and I would find a home in her kingdom. I was surprised to hear of a woman leader but I hid it well. I really wanted to stay on the ship with the captain and his crew but he told me that he could not keep me on the ship when he knew how much I was needed elsewhere.
“When I landed on the island I was in or the shock of my life. Having grown up in a human village I had never seen other races. I had heard of orcs, trolls and the like but had never seen one. I had never heard of Kerra, Elves. Frogloks, gnomes, or any of the other races much except those my father told me were evil. He used them as stories to frighten the children of the village. You can imagine my surprise when landing on the island and seeing kitty cats as tall as I am and taller. Not only that they were walking upright and talking! I soon came to realize that they were not mean but very nice. This is where I met Onis and became very good friends. I also met many of the other races. Each race I met was wonderful and I learned almost all races have good points to them. Of course Kerra are very special to me and that is why I call them my kitties.”
“While on the island I worked hard on honing my meager skills while doing different jobs and helping out those people who could use help. At one point I helped clean up a crafting room and then used the forge to make a spike to keep the door closed. This is when I realized I liked working with metals. The person I helped gave me the names of some people to look up when I left the island for the main land. He told me they could help me learn to work metals. It was also during this time when I was on the island that my teachers realized that I had been blessed with the gift of healing to a small extent. I studied this gift too and learned to use it.”
“Eventually I was told that it was time for me to leave and head to the main land. I was told that the Queen needed my help. My good friend Onis was leaving also. We took the boat together excited and a little scared at the same time. We vowed we would keep in touch no matter what and always be there for each other.”
“Within days of our arriving on the main island we were met by Sagdalon, Lessa, and Abiyia. They were wonderful to us. Sagdalon took one look at my armor and said he would be back. The next thing I knew I had a shining new set of armor. Eventually they took us home to their guild where we were welcomed and spent many seasons. W was very comfortable with these people. Lady Lasarra took me under her wing and taught me about the ways of a paladin. Sir Sagdalon challenged me to be the best fighter I could be. Laby Abiyia taught me how to deal with the tragedies that we all face.
While living with the members of the Silent Light I did many things for the queen. I completed many tasks. I also learned about the creatures in the world, how to talk to them and how to defeat them.
The Legacy of the Phoenix has always held a special place in my heart even though I didn’t live here. I first met Ginji and Lady Kea when I was working on the boots quest. They were out after blood talon as well and we all grouped together to get him. At that time I was still pretty raw from all that I had been through and trying to deal with it so I often didn’t remember things. I later grouped with Squire Ajen, who has been called away, to clean out the undead in Varsoon. He also taught me many things and I will forever be grateful to him. Still later when traveling in Zek I had the opportunity to group with Kitty Khar. To be honest I have grouped with many of the family here those still here and those that have been tasked with moving on in the work of our Queen. I have always felt the love that this family has and I am glad to be a part of it now.
I could go into detail about each and every one of my travels but I don’t want to bore anyone or spend days talking about all that I have done. Serfice it to say I am here now and anytime anyone of my new family needs me all you have to do is ask and I will come and help you -- be it with my sword arm or with foraging or making weapons on the forge for you to use.

As a young child my mom often took me to the fields teaching me how to identify the various plants and what they could be used for. I listened dutifully to her but my heart was not into gathering and learning of plants. Any time we were near the young men who were learning to be fighters, I watched them intently. Women were not allowed to fight in our village. One of the boys, Theo, was especially kind to me and even offered to teach me how to handle a sword.
